Haig Seferian, OALA, CSLA, FASLA, LO, CLD, Principal Landscape Architect: Seferian Design Group

With over three decades of industry experience, Haig is a well-known lecturer, author and television personality. In 2011 Haig was elevated to Fellow status within the American Society of Landscape Architects (FASLA).

Haig is a University of Guelph and California’s Polytechnic Institute School of Environmental Design graduate. As founder of Seferian Design Group, Haig has been instrumental in developing the firm and continues to help develop industry standards not only from the aspect of design but construction as well. Through his guidance the firm has worked with the Burlington Accessibility Advisory Committee on several projects to aid them in establishing design and construction guidelines for the disabled. Haig has brought numerous projects to fruition based on his interpersonal and project management skills.

 

As a recognized authority on the various aspects of the built landscape, Haig has endeavoured to educate the public by creating content for and hosting TV shows such as “Green Force” and “Garden Architecture” on HGTV. Haig has also authored a book titled “Hardscaping”.

 

In the past, Haig was appointed by the Minister of Education as the chairman of the Provincial Advisory Committee for the Horticultural Industry. He has taught as a Professor of Landscape Architecture at Humber College and Landscape Ontario’s School of Horticulture.
